"I had another contractor out just a couple of weeks earlier, who left me with a $973 bill. Now, when the temperature is 96 degrees, my air conditioner broke down- again! I called Arctic and someone came out the same evening. |
Once or twice in your lifetime, you will need to repair the hardest working, most energy demanding appliance in your home. This can be one of the most expensive appliances in your home to repair or replace, and it can cost both now an later. Before inviting a heating and cooling technician into your home, make sure you know the answers to the following questions:
Are you licensed and insured?
Each technician at Arctic has had extensive training as well as a license from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and uses the proper techniques needed to protect your family while working on your system. This includes:
In addition, we are licensed by state (Lic#PA073102) and local municipalities.
We carry insurance with limits well beyond the state minimum requirements.
How long have you been in business?
Most people have heard that many new businesses fail within the first year. It is no different for heating and air conditioning contractors. In fact 85% of new HVAC companies fail within 5 years. This can make it extremely difficult to have your system repaired under warranty.
We are proud to share that we have been in business since 1999, and have hundreds of satisfied customers in the greater Philadelphia area.
Are you and your staff background checked and drug tested?
Absolutely. We do not hire anyone who has not had an extensive background check and drug test. In addition, we have agreements with Sears Home Improvements, ServiceMagic.com, and American Home Shield, all of whom independently background/drug test our staff.
Do you perform a load calculation for sizing new/replacement equipment?
First off, you may ask, "what is a load calculation?" A load calculation involves measuring your house and evaluating the materials of which your house is made to determine the right size equipment for your home. Just like the story of Goldilocks and the 3 bears, your heating/air system will operate most efficiently if it is not too big, not too small, but just right.
Any reputable contractor will perform a load calculation.
The decision is easy - call Arctic Cooling and Heating Company now: (610) 563-7018.
